Once again this year, the Domaine U Capu Biancu has waited for spring to reopen its doors. Spring... The season of renewal and rebirth. The season of colours, scents and flavours. The season of flowers...
Imagine a bush that has been sleeping all winter. Little by little, it stirs, spreads its branches and adorns itself with buds. It seems to be waiting for just one thing, just one thing, to finally let its most beautiful flowers bloom. This shrub is U Capu Biancu. The hotel, the spa, the restaurants, the Maquis villas and the Bonifacian Gallery will all be flowers opening their petals. Yes, from today, the U Capu Biancu estate will once again be welcoming travellers from all over the world.
"Throw a handful of stones, at least one will reach its goal" says the Indian proverb. At Hotel U Capu Biancu, our stones are the decisions we "throw" in the hope that all will reach their goal. One was essential: to definitively eradicate single use from our establishments by 2025.
Come to think of it, this decision came down to one question: do you really need it? Yes, do you really need all those single-use objects found in hotels? The answer has been translated into concrete action.

Our kids had a dream. The dream of a child. That of a house whose praises we once sang from our little boat, during family outings at sea. We, Jean-Louis and Sylvie Limongi, showed them this house and said: "This is the most beautiful house of Bonifacio!"Dazzled by the water's reflection and the Mediterranean sun, they saw a castle. One of those only a childlike imagination could build.
And so our children grew up with this crazy dream that, one day, this "castle" would be theirs. Yes! These gardens, this breath-taking view and this historic building would be theirs. And so, when they learned that it was up for sale, their determination never ceased: their dream had to come true. So we rolled up our sleeves and dug deep to fulfil this childhood dream. Because as Jacques Brel once sang, "a child picks up a dream, brings it to his lips and leaves singing." And we wanted to hear our children sing …
Breathe in. Take the time. Time for yourself. Time to free your body and mind from all tension. Breathe in. Breathe out. Listen to yourself and find yourself at last. This is what we want for you: the chance to enjoy a peaceful moment. And so we have organised three retreats. The word "picnic" reminds us of our childhood. Of childhood Sundays. When we watched with envy as the "grown-ups" filled their plastic boxes with hearty salads, sandwiches of all kinds and other treats. We travelled along country roads, by the sea or at the foot of the mountains, impatient, hungry, looking for the ideal spot. Where we’d spread the blanket on the ground, lay out the familiar boxes just out of the cooler and, finally, tuck into our long-awaited picnic. Those Sundays had an unforgettable taste, joyful and carefree.
Talking about yourself isn’t always easy. Romain wouldn’t disagree on this point. When we asked him to open up to us because we wanted to introduce him to you through this blog, he was a man of few words. Not due to lack of cooperation, but rather modesty. And that's what we also love about Romain. His modesty, his candour, his discretion. "Also" because we love lots of other things about this young man. His beautiful eyes, of course, but above all, his seriousness, professionalism and kindness. His patience and calm.
